2nd Grade Flowers

Inspired by Vincent Van Gogh's sunflower paintings, the second graders created these beautiful renderings with chalk pastel. In doing so, they practiced overlapping and learned how to render light to make the images appear more 3D.

Value to Volume

After an extensive amount of hard work, the 4th graders finished creating their Value to Volume self-portraits. Applying facial mapping, using photographs for reference, they created these beatful paintings in tempera. The project objective was to create Volume in the paingtings by applying different Values of paint in appropriate locations. To complete their work, the students included a list of things they Value in their life in the background. Overall, I am very pleased with how the finished works turned out.

Tree of Life Renderings

Third grade students made the wonderful renderings of Gustav Klimt's "Tree of Life" using chalk pastels. They did a phenominal job devising unique compositions that display an array of colors and design. Great Work!
