The third grade students began this project by drawing 12 organic shapes, using just one, continual line. The students then developed a color scheme for their collages, choosing a monochromatic palette for 11 of their shapes and an accent color for the final one. After all of the shapes were traced, cut out of magazines and pieced together on their paper, the class finished off the collages by outlining their lines in colorful yarn. Hard work and dedication paid off, as the final works are wonderful!
